Design Your Brand Like a Pro at Any Budget or Skill Level
As one of the leading producers of custom branding irons in the United States, we’re often asked if we can design a brand for our customers. While we don’t offer brand design services directly, our years of experience in the industry have given us insight into the best resources available. No matter your budget, timeline, or creative abilities—we can point you toward the right tools and places to help you create a brand that works for you.
3 routes for designing the perfect brand
- Hire a pro. Western Identity is our brand designer of choice when it comes to wildly creative, satisfying designs that incorporate not just letters, but other elements that represent you. When you work with Western Identity, your brand will be designed with the utmost care and creativity, and you'll be supporting another American business!
- Use an AI tool. While your end goal is to sell, consider the context of your blog posts. Here, you’re a tour guide through your firm’s extended offering – not an auctioneer. Your job is to show readers how to use your firm’s products.
- Sketch it out, and we'll do the rest. If you know what you want, but lack the means to turn it into a digital version, simply add on Brand Digitization when ordering your Custom Branding Iron. For only $40, we'll turn your vision into a vectorized file for you to keep and use for future projects!

Before using AI to design your brand, it’s important to know the right prompts to provide. Clearly communicating your ideas can be challenging, and it often takes some trial and error to guide the AI toward the style you’re looking for. To help simplify the process, we’ve done the research for you. Here are several example prompts you can use with AI tools—such as ChatGPT—to start designing your brand:
Simple prompt for a clean, ranch-style brand: "Create a minimalist cattle brand style logo using the letters L and F. The letters should be interlocked and slightly overlapping, like a traditional ranch branding iron. Black lines only, bold metal brand style, western ranch aesthetic, simple vector design, white background."
To incorporate non-letter elements: "Create a western cattle brand style logo using the letters L and F. The F should sit inside or cross through the L, forming a single continuous branding iron shape. Rustic ranch brand style, black iron lines, minimal design, suitable for laser cutting, simple vector design, white background."
For overlapping/connecting the letters: "Design a traditional cattle ranch brand logo combining the letters L, F, and G. The letters should overlap and connect like a real livestock brand, sharing lines where possible. Bold iron brand style, western heritage look, simple black vector lines, balanced and symmetrical, white background."
Include phrases such as cattle brand, livestock brand, ranch brand, simple iron lines, monogram brand, interlocked letters, and continuous line design. Avoid words like fancy, decorative, script, which push it toward typography instead of a brand.
3. Upload a sketch and we'll do the rest.
If you have the perfect brand design sketched out but no way to digitize it, we can help. When ordering your custom branding iron, you’ll have the option to add Brand Digitization to your order. Simply upload a photo or scan of your sketch, and our team will convert it into a clean, vectorized design. We’ll use that file to fabricate your branding iron and then provide you with the finished digital files so you can use your brand for future projects as well.

We do not take creative credit for these brand designs. Most designs are dreamed up by our customers, and we bring it to life as a physical branding iron.
